Weak Skeletons from the Dead!

WEAK SKELETONS FROM THE DEAD!

I'd been looking to use some of the effects from various iOS effects apps like Action Movie EFX and FxGuru in these videos.  But there's a lot of garbage to comb through before you find something usable.  These skeletons that rise from the ground in coffins is cool.  But then they--- fall--- over...???

Hm, how to use that?

I had been wanting to attempt a black & white trailer homage and figured this was as good as any to try it out on.

There was this great iOS app that animator Phil Tippet had that stopped working when Apple upgraded their iOS.  But one of the things I remembered from a tutorial video he shot with it was using film effects to cover up bad animation or bad effects.

So a public domain church shot and some crude iPhone 3D efx look better when you layer a bunch of film grain, sprocket effects, and more on top of the video.  Put a B&W filter over it all and there you go.

More voice-over (this time a very vintagey trailery voice) from "thatguysoundslike at gmail" and -poof- a chewed up film trailer from the '50s revolving around cheap efx and a dumb joke.  Ed Wood would be proud.
