I had spent so much time and energy (and creative energy) on the "7 Days..." Ring parody VHS the day before that I had nothing left for the 'sixer.'
I basically emptied out one of my black & orange Halloween storage tubs and saw what I had to work with. This is all the ceramic Halloween decorations I own: a Target cookie jar, some votives, some candy dishes and all filmed in front of a Halloween towel, with my fake leaves from "25 Days..."
After filming all the items with a locked-off camera, I dumped the footage into Capcut and did a quick choppity-chop-chop edit. I thought it looked kinda dingy (not enough light maybe?) so I put a color-inverse filter over the whole thing to mask the bad video.
The whole video wasn't really working 'til I found the Danny Elfman-like music selection. Then it at least became a 'harmless fun' video. I tweaked some edits to be in sync with the music (some are still a quarter second off, but this was supposed to be a light lift), and exported it.
Not my best work, but I had to give my creative juices a half-day to recharge...
